I’ve been sleeping a lot lately. Too much actually. I’ve been in that place I tend to go to every now and again. That’s why it was a bit silent around here recently.
I’ll try to find an image to post ’cause I hate posts that don’t have,..um well, images ( that was my Austin Powers’ moment: Allow myself to introduce myself..)
Sometimes I feel that I am not doing much of anything but trying to release myself from the tar I’ve fallen into but when I clear my head it becomes apparent that I have. I don’t know if I mentioned this before but when the year began I decided that I would get every journal that I had up to that point and shred the fuckers to non existence.

Some memories belong in trash bags
This was a very cathartic decision on my part. Well at least at that moment it was. I filled up a 30gal bag of bad memories well, mostly bad memories. And I have to say it felt really fucking good. I used to write things in order to remember them. Like taking photographs or something. With out them I am lost or felt lost because I am missing chunks of my life as though I have amnesia or something. Sometimes I feel like a ghost.
I guess I held on to these journals as “proof of existence” in a way. But, it was not fun crashing into bad entries so now I just decided to keep sketch books of nothing but ideas. Things with a future. Plans that will someday (hopefully) will become some creative realization sparked by a thought in my head. That will hopefully mean something to someone else besides myself.

Sketch Book Idea (it's a "g" just looks like a "q" :)
that became this:

from this post:Abstract Forms 3 & 4
I can’t believe how hard it was to pick a page from a sketch book to share with you. I feel so guarded. And it doesn’t even matter.
I forgot why I was writing all this…

So you see, although it seems I haven’t been doing shit. I actually have. Whole lota sleeping my ass. Stop feeling shitty and move on (that was so a note to self)
Well, this is what happens when you throw your journals away and stop journaling and keep a blog instead.
Have a good week. If you fell off get back on.
